News from Bialla Vineyards
Howard's Letter
Dear George,
So last Wednesday, Nov 12th, in NY the much crowed about (by Vito) blind tasting held by Robert Parker's Partner Howard Kaplan had some amazing results. I'll let Howard's email speak for itself below.
I'm working on humility lessons but when your wine does this well you have be pretty happy. Craig MacLean, our wine maker, and Hector Lopez, our Vineyard Manager, have worked so hard to create something special and we think this is only the beginning. Our '06 Cabernet Sauvignon, according to Howard, is even better and we can't wait to have it rated and or tasted.
I'm sending this news out to our customers and loyal fans in case you want to grab some 2006 for Thanksgiving -- shop here.
We have maybe 19 cases left of the '05 and roughly half of our '06 inventory remains since we quietly released it two months ago. We expect to be sold out fairly quickly once this news gets out to the press. Right now you are the first to hear because you are on our mailing list and a VIP in our life.
As always we appreciate you sharing our passion.

Howard's Letter
Hi Vito & Linda:
I'm sure that you'll ultimately be happy with the results even though 2004 Bialla Cab finished in the middle of the pack. The wines as a group were spectacular with no losers. The average score was in the 93-94 point range, which is what we'll rate Bialla when the results are published. The comments were universally positive. That said, I still think the 2006 is even better!
Here are the results, with wines listed in the order they finished with point totals in parenthesis based on 34 voters.
Ramey Pedregal (37)
Etude Oakville (28)
Shafer Hillside (26)
Schrader Beckstoffer To Kalon (25)
Stewart (20)
Phelps Insignia (18)
Harlan (17)
Bialla (13)
Caymus SS (10)
Araujo Eisele (6)
Chappellet Signature (4)
Blankiet (3)
Beringer PR (0)
keep up the good work!
Best regards,
Howard (800) 404-WINE (9463)
