Bialla Vineyards

June, 2009

By the time you read this, Linda Bialla and her team mate Kim Ford will be riding their bikes in a grueling 1000 mile relay race called RAW. You might ask why but the answer is simple. To raise money for Wounded Warrior Project, a highly worthwhile cause, so please visit www.woundedwarriorproject.org and take a moment to remember or even donate for our Vets.

The official website for the race is www.raceacrossamerica.org and you can look up all info and live progress on the racers. Linda and Kim's team is Team Fitista. They start the race on Wed the 17th at 12 noon at Oceanside CA and finish in Taos, New Mexico. Rumor has it there is some Bialla Cabernet in their support vehicle to be delivered for a celebration at the finish line. That alone should be big motivation.

On June 27th at 5am, not to be out done, Vito Bialla is starting a relay swim which will be the longest in history covering roughly 160 miles from the shores of Mexico outside of La Paz and going across the Sea of Cortez. The team www.nighttrainswimmers.com have been in training and fund raising mode for Wounded Warrior Project for several months. Significant progress is being is made on both fronts.

You can follow this historic swim via GPS live by going to the www.nighttrainswimmers.com web site. You will see an update tracking our route every ten minutes. Our winery has also contributed to this great cause and we are all proud to support WWP.

While the racers are out swimming and biking, on June 28th at 6:30 PST, In Wine Country will feature the Bialla Vineyards Winery. This is a highly popular NBC aired program hosted by Mary Babbitt. Mary is an absolute doll by the way. The film crew, producers, photographers and editors are world class.

We suggest you add yourself to their mailing list at www.inwinecountry.com -- they have a weekly blurb which is very informative and entertaining to all of us wine aficionados.

We still have a little '06 Cabernet in hiding so if you'd like to order some go ahead at www.biallavineyards.com but fulfillment may be slightly delayed. We appreciate your understanding.

As always we thank you for sharing our passion, and enjoy the show on NBC.
